We’re leading the search for a Vice President, Sales on behalf of our client, a Canadian-based leader in the travel and hospitality industry.

Note that this role can be based in either Vancouver or Calgary.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Sales is an integral member of the executive management team and will work collaboratively and passionately to drive the sales and marketing solutions to key customers.

This is largely an inbound sales model with leads coming through the website and channel partners; it is unique model in that team members act as true ambassadors, delivering white glove service to complement the luxury product lines offered.

The Vice President, Sales will: take full P&L responsibility for the conversion of leads into revenue; assess current sales strategies and introduce/implement new programs and plans to drive sales; identify traditional and non-traditional sales opportunities for acquisition and retention that drive bottom line revenue growth; inspire and develop the team of sales managers and team leaders to realize their career potential; establish measurable KPIs for the sales team; and stay on top of market intelligence for key competitors in the industry, using the data to develop a plan to differentiate the company’s products.

The ideal candidate is an experienced relationship-builder with 10 or more years’ experience in a high performance B2C environment.

They are adept at forecasting and building customer sales plans, experienced at spearheading successful sales initiatives in a highly competitive environment, and able to bring discipline and rigour to sales systems and processes.
