With the acquisition of key security providers within the nation, we are now the largest security provider in Canada.

Our team is focused on building out a best-in-class customer experience of our SmartHome Security product, all the way from the Learn to the Stop phase of the customer journey.

We are the hub of the SmartHome Security business and tie all the TELUS teams together in driving the most value to our customers and to our business.

We are looking for a strong professional that will help us evaluate, develop and realize new use cases and value propositions within our product so we can continue leading the way for our customers.

Here’s the impact you’ll make and what we’ll accomplish together

You will work across multiple cross-functional teams within TELUS to craft the vision and identify opportunities to deliver on our claim of providing the “Best Products & Technology”, “Best Value for Money”, and being the “Most Trusted & Reliable” smarthome provider.

You will not only be able to help create the direction for where the TELUS SmartHome Security business will grow, but utilize our strategy and position as an industry leader to influence the wider security and automation industry.

Here’s how

  • Define the vision, strategy and multi-year service development roadmap to realize a whole home experience to our customers
  • Use data to develop insights and opportunities to grow and evolve our business 
  • Bring together the product roadmap of multiple vendors and drive organizational priority and alignment of your product
  • Work with cross-functional TELUS teams to deliver upon end-to-end product roadmap requirements: including product/project management, technology strategy, systems architects, service design, marketing, GTM, sales and support teams
  • Drive key business outcomes, measure, report on and leverage key performance indicators, using dashboards and reports to help measure operational metrics and prioritize work to progress your portfolio 
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and customer use cases to create a recommendation for our business strategy


You’re the missing piece of the puzzle 

  • Passion and interest in technology
    – particularly SmartHome
  • With a focus on delivering customer value in a creative and dynamic environment
  • Known for your ability to communicate across groups and executives, and cultivate strong working relationships with a large extended project team and influence those around you
  • With a knack for presentation and storytelling, you craft clear, concise and compelling messages
  • Recognized for using data, and your proven financial acumen to make recommendations and drive decisions and action
  • Ability to drive change on an end-to-end basis across multiple stakeholders and business units, including external vendors
  • Technically inquisitive, you are fast learner and have a strong background in systems architecture
  • University degree, 10+ years of experience; progressive experience in product management or project management or equivalent


  • Product Owner certification (or related agile development methodology experience), MBA, PMP
  • Service Design experience, lean process improvement experience
  • Technical or architectural experience with complex systems spanning internal, vendor, software, hardware
  • Data, BI, reporting experience, experience with systems such as Tableau
