We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Efficiencies, Readiness and Optimization (ERO) team focused on driving efficiencies within field operations.

This exciting Senior Strategy Manager role is focused on the development and execution of strategic programs to support CSD and CNOE operations.

You will be a part of our Efficiencies, Field Readiness and Optimization (ERO) team, working with a high-performing and highly-engaged group of innovative project managers and analysts, who drive results through creative-thinking and problem-solving, coupled with precision execution and performance measurement.

We operate in the demanding and fast-paced area of emerging products and lines of business, off the beaten path, where we must navigate ambiguity together in a collaborative environment and continually develop and execute on a roadmap to drive value to the business through initiatives and programs led both from within our team and without.

As a Senior Strategy Manager, you will work with the ERO Director and leadership team to define and lead the ERO strategy and our 3-year roadmap.

The strategy will support driving yield improvements, field workforce efficiencies, truck roll reductions and new product and service introductions, enabling successful outcomes to reduce our overall cost to serve.

This involves leadership in key strategic programs, content strategy, and governance.

As a leader and influencer, you will need to work with key stakeholders to define strategies, initiative management, identify process improvement opportunities and effectively identify and resolve issues to ensure project success.

Our goal is to make things simple for customers, technicians, and introduce new products requiring professional services from our field forces.

Here’s how

● Strategy: you will help lead TELUS’s evolution of ERO’s strategy/priorities with alignment to, and in collaboration with, our peers in CSE, Marketing and Product & Services.

● Promoting innovative ways of solving problems: additionally, you will be relied upon to surface opportunities for ERO to drive field workforce process improvements

● Culture & structure: with your strong strategic track record you’ll collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure our culture, structure, resources, and scorecard align to our strategic imperatives

● Presentations & storytelling: with your excellent communication skills you’ll prime/consult on content build for executive presentations for key program and strategic discussions

● Portfolio and Funnel management: we will look at you to support various strategic development ad-hoc requests from the leadership team and key stakeholders and take a leadership role in ERO funnel management

● Special Projects: Undertake ownership and delivery of results on special projects and apply your strong project management skills to guide national, cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and implement process improvements

● Influence & Collaboration: Demonstrate ability to lead and influence leaders and working teams to drive successful outcomes.

Collaborate and innovate with your peers on identifying areas of opportunity for our team and business

● Mentor & Coach: Provide guidance to develop junior team members and drive engagement opportunities

● Lead large scope initiatives, a cross-functional project team and driving project progress to delivery excites you

● You are comfortable dealing with ambiguity, are skilled at multitasking and leading the charge in being the project/program/initiative key contact for the business and leadership team

● You are resilient and adept at challenging the status quo by constantly observing, being curious and asking questions

● Establish a performance management framework that aligns metrics/KPIs for our strategy

What you bring to the table:

● Ability to effectively manage multiple and challenging dynamics within a cross functional team

● A self-starter and leader that consistently takes the initiative to manage workload and drive productivity and results

● Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders as required by tasks and responsibilities of assigned projects

● Effective storytelling capability, synthesizing complex business dynamics into a compelling narrative for all levels of our organization

● Above average negotiation and conflict resolution skills

● Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail

● Sense of urgency and ability to drive issues to closure despite competing priorities from various stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience:

● Minimum of 3-5 years of strategy, planning, and execution experience with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

● Experience in process development and implementation required, e.g.

seasoned professional who has led large scale strategic projects or programs

● Confident in engaging a broad set of partners and collaborating with all levels of the leadership team

● Proficient project management skills with a proven track record, demonstrated ability to influence positive outcomes across a diverse working team.

PMP certification is an asset.

● Formal leadership experience in leading large scope complex projects to conclusion

● Ability to handle multiple assignments, lead a dynamic ERO prioritization process, enable strong financial tracking and provide your support and guidance on major projects to ensure successful completion
