Part time gateway supervisor mirabel


This is a Part-time position in Mirabel, QC posted May 10, 2019.

Duties and Responsibilities Tuesday to Saturday 3:30-8:30AM The Part Time Supervisor oversees the package operations in our warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Developing and maintaining good working relationships with employees, management and customers Facilitating training with new and current employees Conducting and participating in group meetings Coordinating evaluations with management Determining the optimum solution for package concerns Supervising daily activities of package handlers and clerks to ensure that all assigned duties are accomplished safely and timely Understanding and consistently demonstrating UPS’s high ethical standards and code of conduct Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to lift 70 lbs Available to work daily, Monday through Friday, 3-5 hrs/day Strong problem solving skills Strong oral and written skills Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Ability to multitask Fluently bilingual in both French and English Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to work in a warehouse environment Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Gateway experiencePost Secondary degreeAbility to work in extreme temperatures NOTE: Candidates will be tested.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities¨ Bilingual; excellent verbal and written communication skills¨ Knowledge of Microsoft Excel¨ Flexibility (working in the evening or long hours)Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities¨ Previous administrative or management experience¨ Post-secondary education (college or university degree with a major or specialization in workplaceCommitment to pursue studies in health & safety, if necessary¨ Ability to train staff, and practical knowledge of UPS compliance and safety programs (Safe work methods, HABITS, WHMIS, transportation of dangerous goods, due diligence policies, UPS code of conduct, etc.)¨ Operations experience
