On behalf of our client in Kitchener-Waterloo, we are looking for a full-time Restaurant FLOOR MANAGER who leads their team with energy and positivity!With a robust take-out business, a large busy patio and future indoor dining opening up, we are looking for dedicated, passionate people to work hard and help the business grow!What’s in it for you?

The chance to work for an established business and an excellent compensation package including salary between $45 $50K,group benefits, RRSP plan, cell allowance,food discounts and staff meals!Required Skills:At least 2 years’ experience within the fast-paced hospitality industry.A proven leader who is energetic, charismatic and confident in their ability to mentor and guide others.Strong communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills.Ability to interact with fellow staff and guests in a mature and professional manner.Proven multi-tasker, problem-solver and proactive business partner.Ability to work quickly and effectively under pressure and rise up to changing priorities.Ability to meet tight deadlines.Ability to effectively manage conflict resolution within a timely framework.Ability to maintain confidence, positive attitude and genuine customer focus.Ability to analyze financials and take responsibility for business performance of the restaurant.Knowledgeable of employment standards and health and safety legislation.Strong enforcer of sanitary food practices and ensures that all laws, federal/ provincial/ local are followedKnowledge of spreadsheets and word processing programs.Smart Serve trainedGeneral Duties:Maintain relationships with customers and staffResponsible for ensuring consistent high quality of service levelsOversee and manage FOH operations of the restaurant and make decisions on matters of importance (consulting owners as needed).Actively participates as a member of the management teamBe flexible regarding their own scheduling and realize special circumstances may arise when they are required to work.Able to work with other Manager(s) and follow guidelines to interview, hire and train front staff including hostesses, bartenders and servers.Work with other Manager(s) to schedule all front staff in an effective and profitable manner based on day and time.Assign front staff sections for all shifts worked and ensure that vacant shifts due to illness, etc.Are covered by comparable front-end staffWill communicate any staffing changes (hires, fires or leaves of absences) so that changes are reflected in the payroll.Maintain and confirm customer reservations at least 3 days prior to a group arrival so that any issues can be discussed.Work with other Manager(s) to properly maintain inventory levels of beer, wine, liquor, and non-alcoholic beverages.Count total bar inventory when required.Cover other Manager shifts where required.Other duties as assigned.If you have the skills and experience to fulfill the job responsibilities above, send your resume to: jayne@grandriverpersonnel.caOur client is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to meeting the accessibility needs of all individuals in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC).
