Director of Carrier Sales

Traffic Team Inc.

This is a Contract position in Vancouver, ia posted September 11, 2021.

The Director of Carrier Sales is directly responsible for managing the branch carrier sales team; as well as, coordinating responsibilities between other functional areas of the branch.

As a member of the management team, you will be accountable to contributing to the overall success and profitability of the branch.

The Director of Carrier Sales will conduct and maintain performance reviews with each member of the carrier sales team.

You will proactively address employee risk areas/knowledge gaps and coordinate/provide training to develop your team.

The Director of Carrier Sales is responsible for reviewing the daily load board, RFP costing projects, and spot quote requests to delegate appropriately.

Finally, the Director of Carrier Sales will spearhead new carrier relations initiatives and build/maintain current carrier relations to ensure ongoing service levels and optimal rates.

Responsibilities Oversee the branch carrier sales team Identify risk areas in the carrier sales team and provide solutions to develop these risk areas Conflict management between carrier sales, other functional areas of the branch and/or external carriers Provide escalation point assistance for high level issues with loads Monitoring profit margins and costs Maintain a highly productive team with a positive management style conducive to the TRAFFIC TEAM INC cultural values Researching and implementing new directives for business growth Developing and implementing guidelines for employee evaluations, recruitment, and promotion Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred; however, equivalent experience will be c 5 years industry experience required 2 years in a director or sales manager role preferred Proven leadership skills Excellent written/verbal communication skills Analytical skills to evaluate data and make operational decisions Proficiency in MS Office Suite How To Apply: If you are looking to join a premier transportation company, and become an integral part of a dynamic team then this is the opportunity for you Apply now through Indeed for consideration.
