Exchange Bank of Canada is currently seeking a Director, Business Development to join our Sales Team.

This is a full-time contract-based role for 1-year (with the possibility of becoming a permanent-role afterwards).

Our proactive Business Development Directors provide tailored banknote solutions by understanding our client’s business needs, developing a plan to manage foreign exchange banknote needs, and simplifying logistics for cash-in-transit.

This allows our clients to diversify and strengthen their currency supply by reducing vendor concentration risk with a consistent, high-quality banknote expert.

The Business Development Director’s main responsibility will be the ability to analyze current environments, identify potential business opportunities, create a business solution for prospects, and implement the solution to generate revenue.

The candidate will offer their knowledge, experience, confidence and build credibility with clients in the corporate industry.

Essential Functions: New Customer Recruitment: 80% Work on the agreed upon segmentation strategy for all products offered by EBC; Oversee beginning of new services; Meeting and presenting to Senior VPs of Financial Institutions Plan, prioritize and report all personal sales activities and potential new Customer contacts in EBC’s CRM platform; Actively develop a broad ranging pipeline of new prospects through appropriate propositions and methods; Regularly liaise with potential new customers to optimize quality of service, business growth opportunities and the overall benefits of switching to EBC; Assist upper management and executives of the Bank and its affiliate in developing and actively recruiting a quality customer base; Work with designated departments of the Bank to plan, coordinate, and execute customization meetings, trainings and successful implementations of new customers; Explore new verticals to increase pipeline of prospects; Actively keep pipeline of prospects up to date on their progress and revenue opportunity in EBC’s CRM platform; Develop and actively manage action plans regarding new customer target list; and Closely adhere to the Bank’s guidelines and ethos concerning the minimization of all unnecessary costs.

Comprehensive use of sales tools to provide market information (MI) on potential clients to the management team; Existing Customer Management: 20% Ensure highest level of customer satisfaction amongst existing client base including house accounts at all times; Identify opportunities to increase sales, and maintain customer relationships; Handle relationship issues with current client base including house accounts; Promote new and existing products of the bank; Work with the marketing team to assist with increasing current customers volumes and revenues through increased awareness techniques.

On a yearly basis, work with EBC’s compliance team to make sure all current customers are in good standing.

Work closely with the risk department to establish credit limits and monitor EBC’s risk levels on a per customer and trade basis.

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field Experience in sales acquiring new customer relationships in the FX Banknote or Payments space.

Proven work experience with contract negotiation process Strong communication and presentation skills Experience with FX Banknotes The ability to speak French is preferred (not required) Benefits: Commuter Reimbursement
