Technical Sales Representative – Industry

As a member of the Sika Canada’s Western region sales team , the candidate will be responsible for increasing Sika Canada’s share in the Industrial market place within this region and in particular the Province of British Columbia.

Reporting directly to the Regional Manager – West of TM Industry, this candidate has great energy, vision and has a business development mind frame, all the while balancing strong technical sales skills.

We are looking for ‘’outside the box’’ thinker.

We are looking for a candidate with experience in adhesive technologies.

The candidate will represent/promote our specialty products to our customers on a regular basis and work in a strong team environment.

The candidate will advise engineers, architects, process manufacturing specialists, purchasing professionals/groups and other key decision makers on the world class adhesives and sealant technologies Sika has to offer.

The candidate will be exposed to leading technologies that are shaping the manufacturing world today.

Sales activities will be focused on the following customer segment groups: Automotive Aftermarket : AGR and CBR Transportation: Bus, Rail, Commercial Vehicles FFI : Industrial fenestration – Commercial Industrial Lamination Marine: Commercial and recreational markets Appliances and Manufacturing University or College degree in business or technical field of study or pertinent experience.

Engineer preferred.

A minimum of 3 years sales experience with a focus on adhesives.

Experience in industrial lamination is a definite plus, however experience is welcome in transportation manufacturing, automotive aftermarket, or other manufacturing markets.

Possess excellent negotiation and presentation skills.

Strong focus on customer satisfaction and service is key.

Must be able to travel regularly within the territory, with occasional travel elsewhere in Canada or abroad.
