Jr. Sales & Service Specialist – Poultry Feed

Our client is offering you the opportunity to establish a long-term career in the animal feed and nutrition industry This progressive and innovative leader in animal livestock nutrition manufactures and sells high quality, leading edge, feed and nutritional products for livestock producers.

As our client continues to grow and serve the local agricultural community, they are looking to add an energetic, self-motivated Jr.

Sales Service Specialist to their team to focus on selling, servicing, and supporting livestock producers in the Fraser Valley, BC.

In this role, you will job-shadow their retiring professional; learning both how to provide excellent service to existing clients and how to prospect and grow your market.

You will spend a significant amount of time on-farm, on the phone and networking at various industry events.

This role reports directly to the Feed Sales and Service Manager.

Those with a positive mindset and an attitude to put in a honest-days work will fit in great; everyone is a key and integral part of their team What You’ll Do: Provide excellent initial sales and service support and account management support to the poultry producers throughout the Fraser Valley Actively prospect new business potentials and acquire new business Maintain accurate, complete, and timely sales information Build strong relationships with internal team and producers; providing the best customer service Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing and monitoring Company sales and feed programs to enhance and maximize production and performance.

Resolve all sales, nutritional, or management issues quickly and effectively Assist in the preparation of the Sales Department operating budget, capital budget and operation plan.

Work collaboratively with producers to evaluate and improve key performance indicators on farm Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts including climbing bins if necessary on farm.

Continuously learn regarding sales and market trends, product performance, and industry information.

Experience They Like
• Strong understanding of agriculture
– specifically poultry, but other areas may be considered
• A farming background will be considered an asset (Poultry / Livestock)
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to relate professionally with customers, suppliers, and personnel
• A strong desire to succeed
• Must have a valid B.C.

Drivers License.

Preferred Education:
• Agricultural diploma or degree preferred but applicable on-farm, livestock, experience will be considered
