ICBC is hiring Broker Enquiry Unit Representatives (Call Centre Reps) at North Vancouver’s Head Office, conveniently located at the Seabus Station.

There also may be an option to work out of another Surrey location in the future.

ICBC will provide terrific training and support as you assist Brokers.

We will provide all the tools necessary for you to take care of our customers every call, every time.

What do we offer?

Salary: $43,420 annually with an increase to $45,704 after 6 months.

Every year on the anniversary of your hire date, you receive a raise.

Union position: The current agreement between ICBC and the union, MoveUp, contains a salary rise every year for five years on the anniversary of your hire.

Vacation and Shift schedule is determined by seniority.

Vacation: 3 weeks’ vacation plus an additional 16 time off days that accrue each month.

Training Dates: We offer an in-depth in-house training program.

Training for this position will start on June 17th 2019.

Position Requirements Broker Enquiry Representatives provide support and information to the broker community on issues such as motor vehicle registration, licensing and insurance matters.

As the first point of contact, your dedication to our customers and ability to efficiently and effectively respond to broker enquiries in a polite and professional manner is essential.

As a BEU Representative, your duties will include:
• Providing efficient and effective responses to broker enquiries in a polite and professional manner
• Providing guidance and information on issues such as motor vehicle registration, licensing and insurance matters
• Assisting with the implementation of new insurance services and initiatives
• Processing of payments and fees
• Routinely access computer databases and reference manuals to research and obtain the required information to best enable the broker to complete the customer transaction The hours of operation are as follows but may change due to operational needs.

Shifts will be scheduled within our hours of operation:
• Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 8:00pm
• Saturday: 8:30am to 6:00pm To be considered for this position, you will bring:
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and think critically
• Strong analytical, listening, questioning, and organization skills
• Ability to explain and provide advice on policies and procedures in understandable terms.

The ideal candidate will have:
• Autoplan or broker experience with experience working with PolicyCenter
• Preference will also be given to candidates actively working towards a CAIB or CIP designation
• Please note these positions require wearing a telephone headset for extended periods of time in a call center environment
