Vendor Returns Specialist

The Vendor Exception Analyst is responsible for inspections and inventory management for unauthorized product returns and warehouse shipment errors and provide resolutions for such shipments.

This role works interactively with CDW’s Customer Relations, Purchasing, Account Payable, vendors and partners to gain approval for return exceptions outside the standard return policies.

What you’ll do: Partner with vendors and Sales force to manage non-compliant returned product, including defective, open box, damaged and stocked products Provide regular updates for pending vendor return authorizations in order to keep inventory levels below set goal amount Regularly follow up with vendors for all pending return authorizations to ensure they are processed in a timely manner Escalate to management unresolved returns, as well as returns that exceed specified values and timeframes Responsible for monthly liquidations and selling inventory through “Bstock.” Responsible for tracking and reporting Build and improve relationships with distribution partners in order to maintain awareness of all returns processes and expectations Appropriately prioritize the processing and follow actions for pending return authorizations Ensure that open exception forms are updated every 5 days with sales/vendor comments until completed Confirm that all returns and associated credits and debits have been completed and ensure that correct procedures were followed The Vendor Exceptions Analyst will be required to travel to distributions partners’ warehouse facilities as deemed necessary Occasional lifting of 15-20 lbs boxes for product inspections What you need to succeed: Must-have: High School Diploma or equivalent Min 2 years of return support or work-related experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels Proven ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities simultaneously Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and be flexible in shifting priorities in a changing environment Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., use of mouse, keyboard, e-mail) Knowledge of IT product and industry Nice-to-have: Previous experience working in a corporate office environment.
