Reporting to theManager, Inventory and Asset Protection,theInventory Analystis responsible for the monitoring and analysis of all wall to wall inventory activities; ensuring all transitions are performed within current tolerances and policies.

This position uses shrink and inventory metrics to measure and mitigate shrink, while supporting consistent policies and procedures across all business units.

Supports inventory integrity and shrink reduction through analytic investigation and assists with the resolution of issues identified by investigative processes and promotes change across the businesses to ensure inventory integrity and mitigate financial risk.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Provide reporting of inventory, shrink, damages and inventory write-off articles to operations and business partners; publish timely and accurate inventory KPI and reports to key business partners; primary focus on Petroleum Business Partners.Support unbiased reporting and analysis of inventory and movements to support inventory KPI Results for Inventory and Asset Protection Manager, Supervisors, Analyst and Lead.

Adapt reporting to the changing needs of the business and ensure compliance to industry standards.Collaborate and support daily and wall to wall inventory control policies and procedures for Retail Ag, Commercial and Petroleum Business Units.Support of physical inventory activities (Wall to Wall); preparation and reconciliation of 3rd party inventory vendor files.

Execute primary result adjustments and material movements, validation of cycle counts re-check results and variance reconciliation for Farm Stores, Commercial and Petroleum business units.Participate in development and/or editing process of Asset Protection analytical or procedural documents.Monitor all business units inventory control policies and procedure adherence; including on site analysis of procedures.Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly consolidated inventory movement results and analysis.Assist in Asset Protection investigations pertaining to RCMP requests; ensure privacy and privileged information remains confidential.Assist the cross functional teams within the business including Human Resources, Finance, Internal Audit and Operations to implement policies/SOP and mitigate risk to the business.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree from relevant discipline (Commerce, Accounting or Operations Management).Minimum 5 years’ retail experience in inventory management; Inventory Management/Retail System and/or D365 experience is considered an asset.Consistently demonstrating successful inventory integrity.Superior analytics and spreadsheet comprehension, organizational and computer skills, good verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills.Excellent skills with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Ability to conduct and conclude investigations into inventory loss and identify and report root causes of discrepancy and provide problem resolutions.Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task; able to operate in a dynamic environment with tight timeframes; self-starter, results-oriented and have a track record of timely high-quality deliverables.Self-motivated with track record of working collaboratively with Operations and various Business Units.Ability to work off-hours, weekends, and holidays required.
