About the Role: The specific role we are looking to fill is on our Sensor team.

You will be a part of the team responsible for looking after the ever-growing fleet of managed sensors we have in the field.

Notable challenges include adding tooling to manage and monitor the sensor population at scale, keeping the sensors performant at all time, optimizing software to get the most we can out of our hardware, supporting new hardware and adding differentiating features to our devices.

Everything we do is done with security as our guiding principle.

Job Responsibilities: Team leadership (50%) Manage a team of highly skilled individuals to help them deliver innovative software solutions to the problems we are solving.

Manage team priorities and backlog.

Participate in development of team processes.

Support the planning of team objectives and lead the execution of team objectives.

Supervise daily development tasks on the team.

Help team members achieve their career goals by identifying relevant work and appropriate training.

Oversee future hiring and further expansion of the team.

Software development (50%) Write well organized, testable, and high performing code.

Identify and implement optimizations that help us, or our sensors operate more efficiently.

Meet regularly with the team to review progress and share technical issues.

Collaborate with other team members and external stakeholders within R&D.

Write clear and concise documentation.

Implement bug fixes and contribute to ongoing product maintenance.

Improve the resiliency of our test infrastructure and introduce new tests where appropriate.

Contribute to virtualization of our infrastructure as appropriate.

Required Skills: 3 years of experience in a team lead or people management role.

History of successful delivery of software development projects.

Familiar with the agile process.

Work experience with python or golang.

Working knowledge of GitHub, Jenkins, and automated test tools.

Comfortable with using Linux tools to troubleshoot and identify system level problems.

Experienced with developing Linux native applications.

Experience with development using docker.

Bonus Points: Experience as a scrum master.

Experience with network appliances.

Experience with performance testing of hardware.

Experience with virtualization of computer hardware.

Experience with development in AWS.

Experience with test frameworks and automated testing in general.
