Position Highlights Our Server Infrastructure team is looking for a Technical Specialist who will fulfill the role of Storage Platform Admin for the enterprise storage environment at ICBC.

The Storage Platform Admin will assist with the management of the day-to-day operations for our enterprise storage environment at ICBC.

In this heavily virtualized, commercial off-the-shelf environment you will support our storage related Infrastructure and Platform as a Service (IaaS & PaaS) service delivery model in addition to the development of an internal Private Cloud.

We are looking for someone who is up for a challenge, and wants to learn.

The Storage Platform Admin must possess a senior level of IT storage infrastructure knowledge, including storage architecture and design experience, extensive multi-site operational support knowledge, and experience with custom requirements gathering.

Common tasks include preparing specifications documents, tier 3 troubleshooting, and providing creative solutions for enterprise storage systems integration.

To be considered a candidate for the Technical Specialist position, you will need to demonstrate your experience in:
• Demonstrated experience in storage troubleshooting, monitoring, and general storage maintenance skills in an enterprise environment
• Demonstrated experience in data processing technology, applications and trends to recognize opportunities to improve data storage capacity, integrity and performance in response to corporate business requirements
• The ability to document active processes and be receptive to cross-training, knowledge transfer, continuous improvement
• Effective organization skills and demonstrated ability to work within a team environment to achieve departmental goals and objectives
• A positive Customer Service attitude that helps drive Server Infrastructure’s Service Management objectives
• Knowledge of the principles, theories and concepts of data storage management
• Demonstrated verbal, written and presentation skills.

Position Requirements Your qualifications will include demonstrated education and large scale enterprise experience with:
• EMC storage array products (e.g.

VMAX, VNX, XtremeIO, etc.) (2+ Yrs)
• Management and maintenance of SAN fabrics (3+ Yrs)
• Familiarity with concepts, methodologies and best practices such as ITIL, incident, problem and change management, and service management;(ITIL Certification will be an asset)
• Exposure to Networking, Linux, VMware, Scripting and SAN/storage technologies will be an asset.
