Our field of focus has grown beyond that of a typical e-commerce entity as we explore the nexus of content, commerce, and culture.Currently serving 150 countries, generating an average of 88 million monthly page views, and achieving high double digit annual growth since inception, SSENSE is becoming a cultural protagonist in its own right.Job DescriptionReporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the paralegal will be part of a team of law professionals who support the company and internal stakeholders with documentation and issues related to intellectual property and advise business units in this field.ResponsibilitiesOversee and own files related to intellectual property rightsCollaborate on the revision and writing of documentation required to establish trademark portfolios and international patentsReview instructions received from external attorneysConduct audits and research with certain registries, including the CIPO, USPTO, WIPO, and EUIPOEnsure the tracking of files, the production and signing of documents, as well as the preparation of necessary correspondenceWrite formal noticesManage and work in respect to deadlines for international intellectual property filesAssist in managing litigation related to intellectual propertySupport the legal department in its general tasksQualificationsCollegial studies (DCS) or equivalent paralegal certificationA minimum of 7years experience as a paralegal with a specialization in intellectual property lawExpertise in trademarks, patents, domain names, and copyrightsFamiliarity with the fields of technology, commercial law, and marketingProfessionalism, diligence, detail oriented and thoroughPositive attitude, focused on results and solutionsExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft ExcelKnowledge of SAP software, an assetExcellent communication skills, in both French and EnglishSkillsExcellent working knowledge of various intellectual property registriesStrong sense of organization and ability to manage priorities in respect to deadlinesStrong professional ethic and ability to guarantee the confidentiality of processed informationAnalytical mindset and sound judgmentAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing needsAbility to work independently or in a teamAbility to understand the needs of clients and offer efficient services
