Sr. Engineer – Municipal Water/Wastewater Projects

You will interact and work directly with clients, while developing your technical and project management capabilities, and leading and mentoring a team of junior and intermediate level engineers. Your tasks will include:  * Manage tasks, projects, and client expectations for the planning, design and construction of Water/Wastewater treatment plants, storm water systems, distribution/collection systems, and/or pump/lift stations * Create construction documents, specifications, and handle construction oversight/administration.* Work directly with clients to determine needs, develop strategies, and provide solutions* Manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle to achieve the desired benefits and outcomes.* Lead the planning, management, execution, and delivery of engineering projects* Serve as Project Manager for projects of different levels of complexity and size* Supervise and support the work of others, and mentor and coach junior staff* Develop scopes of work and budgets* Support account teams in identifying, tracking, and positioning for opportunities* Develop relationships and/or provide guidance on teaming partners for pursuits* Lead the pursuit capture planning for significant opportunities* Lead teams in the preparation of winning proposals and interviews This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to build upon their water and wastewater project leadership experience, while also growing and mentoring a team.  But your project and people leadership skills aren’t the only skills that will make you successful here; your unique blend of client relations skills and interpersonal skills, combined with your demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically, make you the perfect fit for this role.  What you’ll bring   * 8+ years’ engineering and consulting experience, primarily related to the municipal water market * Demonstrated leadership experience with water or wastewater facility design projects (e.g. as a Task Manager, Design Lead, or Technical Lead)* Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving design reports, project drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.* Experience in a client-facing role (preparing and proposals, leading presentations, managing client expectations etc.) * Licensed Professional Engineer in Florida or ability to obtain FL licensure within six months of hire.* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering And here’s what would be a bonus:  * Master of Science or Master of Engineering in related field* Collaborative project delivery experience (DB, CMAR)* Certified Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) Your Application We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified people to apply.
