Procurement Business Partner

Thursday, May 2, 2019 | About the role Reporting to the Manager, Procurement, the Procurement Business Partner understands Payments Canada’s strategies and priorities, translates them into needs, and integrates the information into procurement strategies and actions in support of business unit objectives.

The individual in this position will manage and coordinate procurement related activities between cross-functional teams, for both tactical and strategic procurement of goods and services.

The procurement function is a customer-focused approach that is responsible and accountable for leading, planning, conducting, and controlling all aspects of procurement initiatives and ensures these activities are in compliance with current policies and guidelines.

| What you’ll be doing Support the procurement process and execute day-to-day procurement functions including: reviewing purchase requisitions and executing purchase orders, entering vendor data into financial system, and monitoring and reporting on the status of purchases.

Assist in the approval, qualification, and selection of suppliers by identifying, researching, and evaluating suppliers based on Payment Canada’s processes.

Drive cross-functional teams through all stages of the Procurement process Engage internal stakeholders to define, analyze, and prioritize procurement related requirements with a view to the longer term business strategy.

Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
