Controls Systems/I&C Design Engineer

This is a Contract position in Guelph, ON posted April 30, 2021.

Controls Systems/I&C Design Engineer pickering Pickering, Ontario, Canada Please note that this position is fully remote until the end of the pandemic.

It will then transition into an on site role at our Pickering office, as the current Covid-19 safety protocols allow.

Take your ambitions to next level You will work on technically challenging and interesting projects in the Energy sector.

You require strong technical skills and excellent communication skills.

You will need to be comfortable in client facing situations, be results driven and flexible, take ownership of your tasks, and enjoy variety in your work.

Direct technical project staff and meet with clients; Provide input on control system designs; Review technical design documentation; Prepare proposals, including labour estimates and conceptual designs.

When it just clicks Does this sound like you?

Over 5 years of experience in Controls Systems design and the I&C aspects of control systems; A degree from a post-secondary institution in engineering, with demonstrated academic excellence; Comfortable with PLC programming (Siemens Step7, Rslogix, Allen-Bradley, etc.); Experience in component selection, electrical design, and drafting for low-voltage applications; Extensive knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems, including software.

The following elements would be considered as assets: Extensive knowledge of Automation, Robotics, Motion Control, and/or Servo Automation Professional Engineer designation; Experience in the Canadian nuclear industry; Experience with circuit board design; Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
