Willowglen Systems is looking for a Configuration Specialist to join our talented team.

The Configuration Specialist adapts Willowglen’s software products to meet the needs of the customer.

The incumbent works directly with the Solutions Architects, Software Developers, and customers to understand the needs and expectations of the business (customer) and develop and deliver configuration that meets those needs within the schedule and budget allocated.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on various ongoing exciting projects and will be responsible for the design, configuration, verification, and documentation of integrated enterprise SCADA software solutions for Willowglen Systems clients across the globe.

Job Title: Configuration Specialist Number of Positions: 1 Location: Edmonton or Calgary Type: Full Time Experience: 2 years What You’ll Do
● Generate project schematics in SCADA using customer-supplied documents or using existing mock-ups as templates.

● Generate project model libraries in SCADA to match field devices
● Create and configure IO points within SCADA to communicate correctly with the field devices
● Perform database wiring of IO points to their respective schematics
● Review and test SCADA configuration to ensure accuracy with devices in the field
● Implement design for device-level logic (i.e.

Calculations) supplied by Lead Configurator
● Document work performed such as IO, Schematic and System Configuration using the standard set by Lead Configurator
● Reports to Associate Manager, Support Services What You Have Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Computer/Electrical) or comparable field of study Experience in one of the following industries: Electrical, Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Water & Waste Water, and Metro Rail (LRTs) Experience designing and configuring a SCADA, HMI or DCS system.

Graphical design IO point configuration Testing and commissioning of the system.

Understanding of protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA/DA, SNMP and others Experience using Microsoft Office with a focus on knowledge using Excel Leadership/presentation skills – working with the customer, development, and implementation teams Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as interpersonal skills Must have proven multitasking skills and ability to work under pressure Must have excellent analytical and computational skills Must be a self-starter and have strong troubleshooting skills Bonus Points Virtualization, Containers and Container Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Understanding of Virtual Machines (VMWare) Understanding of Human Factors and Ergonomics Ability to read and understand AutoCAD or Ladder Logic Diagrams Programming Skills Ladder Logic, C++, JavaScript, SQL, and Unix Experience commissioning and verifying software configuration Willowglen Systems Inc.
