Communications strategist available with our a client, a booming Communications company located in Kanata-North.This lucky candidate will be joining a growing team, a very vibrant and dynamic work environment.The ideal individual will have 1-2+ years of communication experience in a professional work environment, have strong English communication skills, and have a completed post-secondary degree in journalism, marketing, or public relations.Roles and ResponsibilitiesResearch, write and edit content for the website, social media, newsletters, briefings, proposals, annual reports, blogs, speaking notes, op-eds and more.Provide drafting, proof-reading and related communications support to the team.Draft news releases, advisories, invitations, briefing notes and provide content to support speeches and presentations.Help monitor and distribute news stories on behalf of clients.Help identify and pursue media opportunities in both mainstream and niche publications.Provide timely and engaging social media content to support and promote all public relations efforts on behalf of clients.Qualifications and Experience1-2+ years of communications experience in a professional environment.Degree or Diploma, preferably in a related area of study such as communications, journalism, marketing, or public relations.Prior work in a related sector (communications, journalism, media) is an asset.Able to produce clear, compelling written products with close attention to audience, goals, messaging, tone, and accuracy while meeting multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.Must have MS Office Experience.

Strong working knowledge of social media applications and best practices (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+) is preferred.
