Automated Milking System Service Technician

This is a Full-time position in Richmond, BC posted June 3, 2019.

Th e Automated Milking System Service Technician supports dealers on project management of the installation of GEA automated milking systems for small or large farm solutions.

The successful candidate would be working based out of a home office in Alberta or British-Columbia preferably.

Tasks: Provide Dealer with all applicable documentation for any specific order (for example, Piping and Instrumentation Diagram, MONOBOX Installation Plan, Control Panel wiring).

Manage assigned project(s).

Review the purchased scope of supply, schedule, responsibilities and all required documents with Dealers: Layout/barn drawings, Robot and milk line installation /placement, Start-up / Commissioning.

Prepping the dairy for startup/Herd Management, Training and instruction manuals.

Responsible for ongoing focal point for project communication and documentation through successful training, commissioning and hand over to dealer.

Site support for setup and adjustment of AMS milking and cleaning which may require integration with non GEA components.

Manage assigned project(s).

Dealer supervision and training as necessary.

Advice Dealer in project management.

Assist Dealer in the equipment layout best practices.

Bachelor’s degree or Professional or Collegial Diploma (Industrial Electronics, Agro-Mechanic, Mechanical Engineering or similar) or least 3 years of equivalent job experience.

Knowledgeable with Electromechanical and PLC controls, pneumatic systems, ethernet communication, robotic system.

Demonstrated leadership ability to lead people and get results.

Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Must have clear and concise communication skills.

Strong computer skills are necessary.

Project management would be considered an asset.
