Polycon moulds, paints, assembles and sequences automotive products to OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers).

Video Link http//bit.do/polycon Job Introduction The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for launching new products and processes and implementing cost savings and process improvements.

Develops equipment layouts, process flows and manufacturing standards.

Major Responsibilities Develop manufacturing processes for new launches Responsible for maintaining daily operation process control Develops, revises, and implements equipment and process layouts to maximize efficiency Implement cost saving and process improvement ideas Develops new manufacturing concepts and lean manufacturing standards Completes MOST and Time studies Evaluates and implements corrective actions when required Actively participates in yield improvements and cost reductions Develops, implements and monitors labour standards for all equipment and processes Provides accurate estimates of labour, tooling and floor space requirements for new and potential business Develops production processes for new programs and participates in program management Documents processes through process flow diagrams, flow charts, PFMEAs and other reports Other duties as assigned Knowledge and Education Completion of a University degree in Engineering required Minimum 2 years of related work experience in manufacturing required Work Experience Strong knowledge of machinery, tooling and automation required Experience with process such as fluid delivery, composite bonding and flaming an asset Material science knowledge an asset Previous experience in time and motion direct labour measurement an asset A self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision Proven analytical, problem solving and decision making skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent teambuilding and leadership skills Effective negotiation & problem solving skills required Willingness and availability to travel must have valid passport Must be flexible to work rotating shifts as required Work Environment Polycon offers excellent health, dental, vision and life insurance is available to all full-time employees along with a proactive wellness program, including an on-site workout facility and cafeteria.
