This is a Full-time position in Belleville, ON posted May 15, 2019.

This contract position is for Magna Lighting Autosystems, Belleville, Ontario, a division of Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting.

Under the direction of the IT Manager, this contract position is responsible for the day-to-day development and support of systems, programs and processes in Business Systems.

Will be responsible for developing cost analysis, design considerations and implementation timelines.Major Responsibilities*Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for all new development projects.

*Coordinate application design and development for multiple projects.

*Assist in troubleshooting software application issues.

*Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.

*Verify database and data integrity.

*Actively participates in status report meetings with IT and Functional teams *Coordinates and communicates with internal and external resources of projects *Produce technical documentation for new and existing applications.

*Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiativesKnowledge and EducationPost secondary degree in computer science or related field or a combination of related experience and educationWork Experience*5 years of work related experience, preferably manufacturing *Technical experience with systems networking, databases, web development, reporting and user support.Skills and CompetenciesDesired skills and qualifications: *C#/.Net 4.5+ *MVC *MS SQL Server / SSRS / Power BI *JQuery / JavaScript / TypeScript *CSS / HTML 5 *Basic experience working with SharePoint 2013 / Online development is preferable *Good working knowledge skills with Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Project.

*Strong project management skills with effective results focus within an information systems environment.

*Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

*Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities; *Proven ability to be flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment, in a high-pressure on-call environment with changing priorities.

*Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours.

*Excellent English oral and written communication skills.Work EnvironmentNormal amount of sitting and standing; Ability to move around an office environment and on the production floor; Ability to work at a computer workstation; Ability to bend, twist, lift, reach.

Required to carry out job duties and responsibilities in a work environment that may include, but is not limited to, varying levels of noise and/or temperature.

Ability to lift max.
