Requirements: 
  • Plan, design, configure, test, implement and support advanced functions of Office 365 Compliance Centre, that apply to Records Management in SharePoint (e.g., File Plans, Retention Label Policies, Auto-Apply Policies, etc..) and eDiscovery across MS365, based on the defined information architecture as well as functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Create and apply retentions to files within SharePoint sites, ensuring appropriate disposition reviews and processes are in place. Create retention labels. Use retention policies and auto-apply policies to apply retention labels. Set-up disposition reviews and processes.
  • Develop policies, processes, and procedures to govern the use and maintenance of Office 365 Compliance Centre functionality by the Technology and Records Management Teams.  
  • Develop and deliver MS365 Compliance Center training that leverages and incorporates existing materials to accommodate the needs of different stakeholder groups.
  • Provide technical expertise and advice regarding the unique features and constraints of MS365 Compliance Centre and SharePoint to manage records and perform eDiscovery.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring around good MS365 Compliance Centre practices to staff, senior leadership and program stakeholders to increase their effectiveness in adopting best practices.
  • Support and “troubleshoot” Office 365 Compliance Centre functionality.
  • Assist the Project Manager with the definition of the Compliance Centre plan and with its integration into the overall Project Plan. :
  • A demonstrated record of achievement designing, testing, and implementing O365 / Compliance Centre / SharePoint Online solutions within a large, complex project environment and to tight timeframes.  
  • Three to five years experience designing, configuring, testing and implementing MS365 Compliance Centre functionality, including but not limited to creating and maintaining: 
    • Reports;
    • File Plans; 
    • Retention Label Policies; and
    • Auto-apply Policies.
Qualifications:
  • Experience and deep knowledge of MS365 / Compliance Centre Records Management methodologies, approaches, and tools.
  • Experience and deep knowledge of MS365 / Compliance Centre e-discovery methodologies, approaches, and tools.
  • Extensive experience as an MS365 / SharePoint professional, consulting with program stakeholders from Information Technology, Records Management, and various business functions to achieve common goals and resolve issues in an efficient and effective manner. 
  • Highly developed analytical, conceptual, written communication and presentation skills including the ability to define and document MS365 Compliance Centre processes and procedures. 
  • Basic knowledge of complimentary MS365 technologies (e.g. Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Yammer, Microsoft Power Platform, etc..) is preferred
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • Strong knowledge in managed metadata and taxonomy best practices.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • MCSA, MCSE or equivalent certifications is an asset.
