Polycon moulds, paints, assembles and sequences automotive products to OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers).

Video Link http//bit.do/polycon Job Introduction Job Profile The Automation specialist will design, program, simulate and test automated equipment and develop new technologies for our existing and new manufacturing processes.

Major Responsibilities Lead Process and Automation equipment evaluation, specifications, procurement and implementation Lead launch and continuous improvement activities, providing solutions and support Lead and perform root cause analysis on production, engineering, equipment and maintenance issues Technical expert for electrical circuits, program logic controls, robot programming, vision, pneumatics, conveyors and other automated systems Develop and maintain control systems, (PLC architecture and program standards, communication and networking standards, HMI) Conceptualize, design and implement automated systems for launch and capital projects Recognize and implement new technology or products that will provide new business Coordinate and implement quality control objectives, activities and procedures to resolve production problems Other duties as assigned Knowledge and Education Degree or diploma in an engineering related field, preferably mechatronics, mechanical or electrical Minimum 5 years past experience in a similar role required Experience in assembly plant manufacturing (automotive preferred) Work Experience High volume manufacturing environment and multi-disciplinary experience in process or equipment engineering Strong “hands-on” capability in the installation and programming robotic and PLC controls systems in a manufacturing process and equipment environment.

Strong data analysis experience required Must have excellent knowledge Allen Bradley PLC’s, advanced programming, HMI, Vision systems, ABB and Fanuc robotics and various networks.

Complete understanding of relevant standards and legislation to ensure automation equipment implementation is compliant with all safety and regulation standards.

Proven experience performing mechanical, electrical/electronic and pneumatic troubleshooting of automated equipment.

Demonstrated skill in technical documentation.
