We are a CAD$ 9+billion international manufacturing company.

We are looking for an HR Manager for our manufacturing facility in Becancour and our small sales team in Burlington, Ontario. Based at the Bécancour Plant in Québec and reporting directly to Manufacturing HR Director(based in the USA) and functionally to the Becancour Plant Manager, the essential responsibilities are to:Ensure the development and implementation of activities and systems to optimize support activities like recruitment, work relations, training, compensation; organizational development, performance review, … in collaboration with corporate and management;Advice in human resources management, communication and administrative management;Contribute to the effectiveness of the organization, both for the Bécancour, Québec (Around 90% of the time) and for Burlington (around 10% of the time), Ontario sites.QUALIFICATIONKnowledge, Skills and Competencies:Strong business insight to align organizational objectives and HR performance objectives;Build sustainable partnerships with employees in the business unit and HR Director (Corporate) and external resources;Autonomy, agility and adaptation to change;Analytical and strategic thinking with strong emotional intelligence;Superior communication skills to persuade, negotiate and influence;Ability to act with tact and diplomacy;Active listening to manage sensitive HR issues;Team player with an irreproachable work ethic.Animation, coaching, mobilization and leadership with his/her team Know how to work in a team, be versatile and autonomous;Have a good ability to adapt;Be committed to the vision, mission, values, and objectives of the company;Have very good knowledge of Human Resources;Excellent knowledge of the labor laws and market in Québec and Ontario;Be skilled with various office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, …); Excellent command of both French and English (oral and written);Available to travel occasionally in Ontario and USAEducation and/or Experience:Undergraduate university degree (bachelor’s degree) in an appropriate discipline (industrial relations, human resources management, management) …

Or any other training deemed equivalentGraduate training in labor relations or human resources would be an asset.A minimum of 8 10 years of human resources experience in the industrial context of which at least five (5) years in a management or coordination position. Member of the Order of Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP); Company A diversified, $9+ billion manufacturing company based in Europe, comprised of 10 different business units.
