We are looking for a highly motivated UX/UI Designer to join our Pension Products & Technology team in Toronto.

You will be part of the UX/UI Design Chapter which is responsible for delivering new and enhancing existing products and services for OMERS Pensions.

The Products & Technology team is an exciting new team focused on leveraging the newest technologies and approaches to deliver solutions & systems for the modern-day end user.

We’re excited for the opportunity to have highly driven and impactful talent join our team As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
• Evolving the UX/UI chapter to establish the vision of the user interfaces across all Pension Products by applying emerging market research and design standards while considering strategic business objectives, user needs and systems constraints
• Working closely with the business stakeholders to understand and document business needs
• Producing wireframes, prototypes and user flows that embody the business and functional requirements
• Leading the design review sessions with business stakeholders, acquiring consensus and getting approvals on designs
• Creating business acceptance test cases and testing for the GUI
• Creating User Interface elements in both low and high-fidelity utilizing industry standards and recognized tools such as Figma, Sketch, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and similar applications
• Acting as a user experience advocate and thought leader regarding principles of user experience and human-centered design To succeed in this role, you have:
• Recognizable degree in Design or a related discipline
• Minimum 10 years related to product design/UI design working experience
• Must be able to work collaboratively with various groups across Pensions
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills
• Must be experienced in: Agile, Scrum, Jira, user stories, user flows, low and high-fidelity designs and prototyping
• Must be self-sufficient in terms of setting goals and time lines, and meeting them
• Must be proficient in: Mind mapping tools, UX tools, Figma, Sketch, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, Prototyping tools (Axure) and documentation and annotation tools
• Experience with financial/investment/insurance businesses would be an asset
• Experience with Design Sprints and other design lead solution activities would be an asset Our story: Founded in 1962, OMERS is one of Canada’s largest defined benefit pension plans, with $105 billion in net assets as at December 31, 2020.
