Graphic Designer / Information Designer

At BCI Studio, our team is skilled in graphic and information design, photography, and videography
– we’re responsible for strengthening BCI’s visual brand and reputation as a provider of global investment management services to our clients in British Columbia.

We combine our design knowledge with our ability to creatively translate complex processes, concepts, and stories into clear, easy-to-understand infographics, icons, charts, publications, presentations, and videos.

Our aim is to present information in an engaging and succinct manner that informs, inspires, clarifies, and delivers a shared understanding of BCI.

Your design aesthetic is modern, clean, and fresh
– and will introduce a new level of creativity and engagement for our stakeholders.

As an essential member of our Studio team, you will be: contributing to the evolution, elevation, and expansion of our visual brand and data visualization strategy; leading the design direction of our corporate publications and microsites in partnership with external vendors; creating compelling infographic designs; developing and enhancing our corporate-branded template designs; leading and coordinating corporate photoshoots (our own BCIers are featured in many of our videos, presentations, and publications); developing graphics for our videos; collaborating with our colleagues by offering design counsel, and/or designing and branding their project materials; attending design and data visualization conferences and/or workshops to strengthen our team’s knowledge of best practices.


Degree or diploma holder in graphic design, information design, or related discipline

4 years’ experience in graphic design or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Advanced experience in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

Intermediate to advanced experience in MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint

Experience working with corporate brand graphic standards and guidelines

Experience designing engaging publications; designing data charts, and data visualizations that lead to clear insights

Knowledge/experience in digital publication and microsite design best practices

Experience in design project management; active listening; building rapport with your clients; clear verbal and written communication; receiving/offering constructive criticism; time management and organization skills with attention to detail.


Intermediate experience with Adobe After Effects, Premier, and XD

Experience managing or working with a digital asset management (DAM) system
