As the Director of HR, you will have the opportunity to develop and promote a unique corporate culture and environment for a dynamic organization.

You will work with the executive team to shape and implement strategic and operational efficiency/leadership for its development.

You will be responsible for optimizing the human resources function to meet the strategic needs of the organization; to support the organization as it evolves; and to develop human resources policies, practices, and programs.

You will provide HR support to managers in dealing with contentious issues, implementing consistent HR practices throughout the organization.

As the Director of HR, you must have the necessary credibility and drive to lead the HR department and engage experienced directors.

You must be fluent in both official languages and have a graduate degree in a related discipline, or the equivalent in education and experience.

As an accomplished leader and trusted advisor, you will bring a wealth of relevant knowledge and experience to this role and lead by example in working towards a common vision of providing optimal service for the residents of the City of Bathurst.

Bathurst is one of eight New Brunswick municipalities that hold city status.

Located in the county of Gloucester and on traditional Mi’kmaq land, Bathurst is located on the southernmost part of the Chaleur Bay.

As a regional service cent re , the City of Bathurst maintains close ties with the surrounding villages and municipalities, thus constituting a pool of more than 35,000 inhabitants regularly visiting its territory and taking advantage of its services.

The city of Bathurst is made up of a population of almost 12,000 and hires close to 200 employees.
