As the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for leading the performance outcomes, organizational development priorities, policy and resource allocation decisions for the finance and procurement programs.

You will provide professional advice to Council and other City departments in areas of expertise including accounting, revenue, internal financial reporting, supplier and customer management, key performance indicators, internal controls, treasury, and procurement.

As the Deputy Chief Financial Officer, you will also participate and influence the strategic direction, leadership, and management of the City’s financial position. 

A proven influential leader, you have a degree in Business or a related field as well as the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.

You have a minimum of 10 years experience including at least 5 years of financial leadership, preferably in municipal government.

You have excellent communication, teambuilding and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team and build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

You have a natural ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and to establish priorities, set goals and manage a variety of competing deadlines within time and budget constraints.

This exempt position offers a salary range of $128,000 to $142,500, employer-paid comprehensive benefits, an earned day off program, paid vacation and one of Canada’s top pension plans.
